It was just another morning at school, 7:15 waiting for the bell to ring at 7:20. Kids sleepily walking in all looking down not paying attention to anything around them, faces glowing with light. All staring at their phones in a whole other world, called Social Media. Social Media is something we use in our daily life. It’s something that in today’s world some say we couldn’t live without. Social Media has a huge impact on us.

Social Media is websites that allow us to share content with each other. One of the biggest Social Media outputs is, Facebook. It is where people can share pictures, have live streams, talk to each other, and so much more. Some seem to think that Social Media is a really great place to connect with each other, but others say Social Media is an easy way to overshare about our lives and it can really hurt us.

Going out and asking peoples opinion a lot said Social Media was a good thing but there were a few that disagreed. A teenager that uses Social Media in their daily life reported, “Social Media is something I use every day, it’s very addicting to see how perfect people’s lives can seem through it.”
An adult expressed “Social Media seems pointless, why would someone want to share so much about their lives, it’s kind of scary thinking about how many people can see what you are doing.”

Picture a world without Social Media. What would it be like? What would you currently be doing? Well you wouldn’t even be reading this. See, as it might seem Social Media is a bad thing, we wouldn’t have a near the technology without it.

While Social Media can seem addicting and bad at times, it is the best way to find out about current news. Social Media is the fastest way to get word out about things. It’s our future and something that will keep advancing overtime. That’s the world we live in today, a world of Social Media.
